Get ready, TorqueXChange Nation! The wait is finally over. This Saturday, March 14th, the National Extreme Festival is descending upon the hallowed asphalt of Killarney International Raceway, and if you haven’t felt the vibration in the air yet, you aren’t listening hard enough.

This isn’t just a race day; it’s the 2026 season opener, and it’s going to be absolute carnage (the good kind) from lights out to the final chequered flag.

Here’s why you need to drop everything and get to the track:

1. The Heavy Hitters: Dunlop Extreme Supercars

If you like your engines loud and your bodywork exotic, this is the main event. We’re talking about a grid of V10 Lamborghinis, turbocharged Porsches, and Audi R8s screaming down the Killarney straight.

  • The Battle: Local favorite Charl Michael Visser is looking to defend the home turf in his Porsche GT3, but he’s got a massive target on his back with champion Jonathan du Toit (Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO) and Charl Arangies (Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO) coming down from upcountry to spoil the party.

2. Door-to-Door Drama: SATC & SupaCup

The South African Touring Cars (SATC) are where the “rubbing is racing” mantra truly lives. Expect a titan clash as Robert Wolk returns to reclaim his throne from reigning champ Michael van Rooyen. With the new Toyota Corollas, BMW 128tis, and VW Golfs all fighting for the same inch of tarmac, things are going to get spicy.

Also, keep an eye on the SupaCup rookies. Rory Atkinson and Tyler Robinson are stepping up, and they aren’t here to play second fiddle.

3. 30 Years of Polo Cup Chaos

The Astron Energy Polo Cup turns 30 this year! This is the legendary breeding ground for SA’s racing stars. Since every car is identical, it all comes down to who has the biggest… heart. With a massive field of hungry youngsters and seasoned veterans like Wayne Masters, the turn 1 scramble is going to be legendary.

4. Two-Wheeled Terror: SunBet ZX10 Masters

For the bike fans, the ZX10 Masters Cup is pure adrenaline. These guys are over 35, riding identical Kawasakis at 270km/h, and they do not back off. Can anyone stop Clinton Seller? The pack is chasing him hard, and Killarney’s bumps make for some of the most heart-stopping motorcycle racing in the country.

5. More Than Just Racing

TorqueXChange is all about the lifestyle, and Killarney is delivering the full experience this weekend:

  • Fan Walk: Get onto the grid during lunch to meet the drivers and see the Supercars up close.
  • Drift Rides: Brave enough to go sideways? There are passenger drift experiences to test your stomach.
  • Family Vibes: Funfair rides, snake shows, live music, and enough food stalls to keep you fueled all day.

The Details You Need:

  • When: Saturday, 14 March 2026
  • Where: Killarney International Raceway, Cape Town
  • Tickets: R120 (Webtickets) / R150 (At the gate). Kids under 12 are FREE!

TorqueXChange will be on the ground soaking up the atmosphere. Whether you’re a petrolhead or just looking for the coolest way to spend your Saturday, Killarney is the only place to be.
